Cogge – Geeraert Half Marathon Veurne – Nieuwpoort March 22, 2026
The Cogge Geeraert Half Marathon takes you from the Grote Markt in Veurne to the Market Square in Nieuwpoort. You walk along the Veurne – Nieuwpoort canal to the picturesque Wulpen (Koksijde) and then via the charming village of Booitshoeke (Veurne) you arrive at the Frontzate route (Diksmuide – Nieuwpoort). From here it goes past Ramskapelle, towards Nieuwpoort. The finish is on the beautiful Marktplein. the City Halls.
A paved trail will lead you from the Grote Markt in Veurne through the Flemish polders “Bachten de kupe” via Wulpen to the Grote Markt of Nieuwpoort.
1. How to get there - accessibility - parking
Start at the Grote Markt of Veurne with arrival at the Market Square of Nieuwpoort, West – Flanders, Belgium
Transfer option after the match from Nieuwpoort to Veurne is optional at €5/pp
2. Program and timetable
8:10 am: Opening competition secretariat, Atrium Bisschoppelijk College, Karel Coggelaan, 8630 Veurne,
Mandatory collection of starting number
9:30 am: Closing of the competition secretariat (last chance to collect starting number)
10:10 am: Start of the Grote Markt Veurne half marathon
11:15 am: Finish first participant on Marktplein Nieuwpoort

Sports bags for athletes who want to be transferred to the start will be brought to the finish (Stadshal Nieuwpoort, Marktplein Nieuwpoort))
5. Time limits
Time limit is at 2h50 (Finish last participant foreseen at 13h)

Support at 7.5 and 15 km (water) + final supply at Marktplein Nieuwpoort
7. Prize-giving ceremony
We plan the podium ceremony from 12:15 pm on the Market Square
Cash prizes + in-kind prize for top 3 Men and Women overall
Prize in kind for top 3 Men and Women Masters 35 +
Podium 50 + top 3 Prize in Kind Men and Women
Podium cash prize for first Lord and Lady in intermediate sprint halfway through the race at Café De Landman. It is located 300 meters after the bridge over the highway.
To be eligible for the podium prizes you must be present in person!!!

REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN.
Pre-registrations are done online until March 15 or until the limit of 650 is reached.
Registrations are made via time registration platform SQM Time. They charge a small percentage fee for this that must be paid on top of the registration fee.
Pre-registration: 200 first registrations: €25, then €30.
